Who? It was at a very early age (like 5 years old early) I first acquired my passion for drawing cartoons and illustrating the world around me. Whether it be animated or printed – I was hooked! I spent countless hours as a child drawing. Then I drew and drew and drew.

If you were looking for me when I was a kid, you’d likely find me one of two places: in the basement drawing up a storm while watching cartoons, attempting to mimic, as best I could, my favourite cartoon characters (and their voices). Saturday mornings were the best! The other place would have been in my room with my nose wedged between the pages of a comic book (I was a pale kid).

Fast forward through junior school, middle school and you’d find me at The Etobicoke School of the Arts. Four more years of drawing and painting later and a diploma from O.C.A.D. (and a short stint at Sheridan), I was then well armed with ten years of concentrated drawing, and most importantly, a ton of enthusiasm!

When? Freelance illustration since 1991, and formally became “The Cartoon Guy” back in 2000.

What? "Custom Tradigital Illustration" is what I do. Now, you're asking "What the heck is ”Tradigital” anyway?"
Well, it’s the careful balance of traditional-meets-digital-media.

For example: Traditionally cleaned lines, which then meet up with Photoshop or Painter for value and colour application. I illustrate for a wide variety of needs, ranging from Pre-visual Illustration and Character Design to Magazines and Children’s Illustration.

You name it – I 'toon it!

Where? In my little green studio in Toronto, shared with The Design Girl.

Why? Because I love it.

How? It's magic!
